Bloomington loves Maria Bamford so much that in 2017, the city observed Maria Bamford day – including a declaration from the mayor and a wildly colorful and obnoxiously large “key to the city.”
Maria’s approach to comedy has never been and can’t be replicated. Her influence is as prevalent as anyone in modern comedy- her comedic fingerprints are all over hundreds of the best comedians on Earth. Maria’s career is an eclectic masterwork that covers everything from critically acclaimed TV series (Arrested Development, Louie) to voiceover work on some of today’s best animated series (Adventure Time, Bojack Horseman). And of course, Maria created and starred in the biographical Netflix series Lady Dynamite.
Doors open 30 minutes in advance. VVIIPP and VIP badge holders are asked to be in their seats 15 minutes before showtime. Content is recommended for those 16 and older. The show will run approximately 90 minutes.
