The 2018 Bloomington PRIDE Film Festival explores the lives and experiences of the LGBTQ+ community through feature-length and short films, talkbacks, and workshops. The festival features a wide range of artists and viewpoints, with the goal of advocating community-wide attitudes of awareness, acceptance, and appreciation of diversity.

This year’s festival will feature a special student film-maker screening, more information to follow.

Doors will open 30 minutes in advance for most screenings. Doors may not open until 15 minutes in advance for screenings later in the day. All screenings are general admission, with each screening lasting roughly 2 hours. Thursday night’s screening will be longer, around 2.5 hours.

Owned by the City of Bloomington, the Buskirk-Chumley Theater is operated by BCT Management, Inc., a private non-profit organization. This theater, located one block off the Courthouse Square, seats 600 with an orchestra level and a balcony. Concessions and items purchased from BLU Boy may be taken into the auditorium. Restrooms, concessions, the box office, and the orchestra-level seats are all wheelchair accessible. Special seats are reserved for those using wheelchairs. Please contact the box office at 812.323.3020 to purchase those seats. Street, lot, and garage parking is available across downtown Bloomington.
