It’s time for the 2020 Trashion Refashion Runway Show!
This vibrant, all‐ages event is a two‐part runway show featuring designs made from refashioned garments and unwanted materials including paper and plastic bags, pop tabs, bicycle tires, tablecloths, old clothes, pet food containers, and even wedding gowns! This year’s event features a performance of song and dance by Janiece and Celina Jaffe. Yael Ksander and Devta Kidd are the emcees. Attendees at this year’s event will help us minimize Trashion’s environmental impact by participating in zero-waste efforts led by Students for A Greener Environment (SAGE) of Bloomington High School South. Please bring your reusable cups!!! Trashion is a celebration of creativity, community, and sustainable living. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Proceeds benefit the Center for Sustainable Living (CSL) and Discardia, a CSL project whose mission is to help people reuse, recycle and repurpose clothing & other textiles. Please visit www.bloomingtontrashion.org for more information about this fundraising event.
Doors will open at 6:30pm. The event lasts about 2.5 hours.
