“Ballet at the BCT: The Choreography Project” is a presentation of original works choreographed by the talented dancers of the IU Jacobs School of Music Ballet Department on their fellow dancers. Thirty-three diverse new creations will be presented, each with its own style and theme. Music used for the production is equally varied, going from classical to contemporary in the blink of an eye.
Directed by Ballet Department Chair, Michael Vernon, The Choreography Project is a chance to see high-quality contemporary ballet in the intimate setting of the historic Buskirk-Chumley Theater.
As with most Jacobs School of Music events, the performances are FREE and open to the public, and the program is appropriate for all ages. Doors will open at 7pm, the show is expected to last approximately 2 hours.

Owned by the City of Bloomington, the Buskirk-Chumley Theater is operated by BCT Management, Inc., a private non-profit organization. This theater, located one block off the Courthouse Square, seats 600 with an orchestra level and a balcony. Concessions and items purchased from BLUBoy may be taken into the auditorium. Restrooms, concessions, the box office, and the orchestra level seats are all wheelchair accessible. Special seats are reserved for those using wheelchairs.
