Join the community in a celebration of the fantastic volunteer spirit that makes Bloomington special. The Be More Awards, sponsored by the City of Bloomington Volunteer Network, honor individuals and groups nominated for their dedicated community service. Ten Be More Award recipients earn $500 each from the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County for the nonprofit organizations where they donate their time and talents.
This is the 37th year of a community-wide celebration of volunteers!
Additional co-sponsors include the City of Bloomington Community and Family Resources Department, IU Credit Union, United Way of Monroe County, and WTIU Public Television.
The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Doors will open to the public at 6:45pm and the event is expected to last about one hour and 45 minutes.

Owned by the City of Bloomington, the Buskirk-Chumley Theater is operated by BCT Management, Inc., a private non-profit organization. This theater, located one block east of the Courthouse Square, seats 600 with an orchestra level and a balcony. Concessions and items purchased from BLU Boy Cafe may be taken into the auditorium.
Restrooms, concessions, the box office, and the orchestra-level seats are all wheelchair accessible. Special seats are reserved for those using wheelchairs, which can be purchased via the box office at 812.323.3020. Street, lot, and garage parking is available across downtown Bloomington.
