The Hundredth Hill is a private, non-profit artist retreat in Bloomington, Indiana on 40 acres filled with pristine woodlands, wildlife, butterflies, mushrooms, and river beds. The property features two guest houses, a professional recording studio, a renovated Airstream trailer, a large barn, and a small working farm. We encourage sustainable practices in all that we do – we’re geothermally heated, and working toward solar and wind power – and love spending time tending to our 24 chickens, 2 dogs, and shelter pot-bellied pig Ghede.

We offer creative, comfortable accommodations and quiet, peaceful evenings. Our space is an inspired amalgam of original designs, antique fixtures, and sustainably harvested materials from our extensive acreage. All resident spaces are air-conditioned and come complete with a private kitchen and bathroom, WiFi, and access to an onsite washer and dryer.

Our mission is to provide beautiful, sustainable space and programming for both established and emerging artists to create. We believe that art is the answer, and that by supporting creativity in all its forms, we can contribute to our local, regional, and world community.

We can’t wait to meet you.

The Hundredth Hill is an Artist Residence and Retreat located in Bloomington, about 17 minutes north of the IU stadium.
It has been featured in both Forbes and Broadway World for its hosting of the NYU Tisch Theatre performances of new
works during the Pandemic, October 2020.
Hexen is the first work to be staged in the open air Performance Barn. Seating is limited to 36 people – socially-distantly and airflow is
plentiful. We will request masks be worn while in the performance space, should any single audience member request such.
We are hoping that all audience members have been vaccinated, and will trust that individuals will use their best judgment
in all circumstances.
The work is immersive – so be prepared to interact with the characters. Bring your sense of adventure, wonder, and
above all, magic. Because magic is guaranteed to be in the air… Find us at thehundredthhill.org – or drop us a line at
