Lotus 2019 LogoThe 2019 Commemorative Pin gets you into the Sunday Closing Concert, the 26th Festival’s heartfelt wrap-up event celebrating the traditional music that inspired Lotus Dickey and other Old Time artists. First, Steam Machine celebrates old-time and bluegrass with some very fine playing and a sure feel for the soul of American roots music.

Next, Jayme Stone’s Lomax Project – which focuses on songs collected by folklorist and field recording pioneer Alan Lomax – Folklife treats old field recordings not as time capsules, but as heirloom seeds passed down from a bygone generation. Planting these seeds in modern soil, this versatile gathering of musicians has cultivated vibrant Sea Island spirituals, Creole calypsos, and stomp-down Appalachian dance tunes for contemporary listeners.

Artist details available at www.lotusfest.org.

Doors open at 2:30pm for this general admission event.
