This film screening is part of “Movement: Asian/Pacific America,” a partnership between the IU Asian Culture Center, the Asian American Studies program, the IU Cinema, and the Asian Pacific American Faculty and Staff Council.

The films in this short-film program include: “In This Family” (2017) directed by Drama del Rosano; “I’m Okay (and Neither Are You)” (2019) directed by Drama del Rosano; “Moonwalk with Me” (2018) directed by Shelly Yo; and “Chinese Hoosiers (2017), directed by Haley Semian.”

Filmmakers Drama del Rosario and Shelly Yo are scheduled to be present for a Q&A following the films.

Doors open at 5pm for this free but ticketed general admission event. There is a reception for ticket-holders beginning at 5 pm, followed by the film screening at 6pm, and finally the Q&A. The estimated length of the screening portion is 1.25 hours; the estimated length of the entire event, including reception and Q&A, is 3 hours.

Content Warnings: Some films contain flashing lights and adult content, including adult language and sexual violence.

Owned by the City of Bloomington, the Buskirk-Chumley Theater is operated by BCT Management, Inc., a private non-profit organization. This theater, located one block east of the Courthouse Square, seats 600 with an orchestra level and a balcony. Concessions and items purchased from BLU Boy Cafe may be taken into the auditorium.

Restrooms, concessions, the box office, and the orchestra-level seats are all wheelchair accessible. Special seats are reserved for those using wheelchairs, which can be purchased via the box office at 812.323.3020. Street, lot, and garage parking is available across downtown Bloomington.
