Poster for the rap guide to CultureMusic, poetry, art, science, politics, and relationships are all strange behaviors found in a species of (mostly) hairless primates. How do norms and social systems evolve, and who benefits? The whole planet hangs in the balance as cultures and sub-cultures compete for survival and the reach to become viral. Equal parts rap concert, TED Talk, and stand-up gig, Rap Guide to Culture surprises, delights, and ultimately heals, bringing a wealth of knowledge and razor-sharp observational wit to some of today’s stickiest topics.

The BPP lobby will open an hour in advance; if the show has not sold out in advance any remaining tickets may be purchased at the BPP box office counter at that time. House opens half an hour in advance. Refunds or exchanges can only be made up to 24 hours in advance of showtime.

The Bloomington Playwrights Project (BPP) is the only professional theatre in Indiana dedicated solely to new plays. In operation for 35 years, the BPP serves both the Bloomington and national theatre communities by working with talented playwrights, actors, and artists to develop high-level productions for both local patrons and the many audiences attending subsequent productions of scripts that originated at the BPP. The Bloomington Playwrights Project is an advocate for playwrights and new plays, believing firmly that they are not only important but absolutely vital to the future of the art form.
