Presented by: BCT Presents
Where: Buskirk-Chumley Theater
|Tuesday, December 11th 11:00 am||No Tickets Needed|
The very first screening in the Indiana Theater took place on December 11, 1922. That film was The Storm, and the Indiana Theater was a brand-new silent movie house. Today, it’s the Buskirk-Chumley, Bloomington’s Community Theater. Help us to celebrate the anniversary of this special date with the BCT Birthday Party!
Stop by any time between 11am and 2pm and celebrate with us. We’ll have cake, popcorn, activities, a photo booth, and giveaways. This could be your chance to snap some selfies with the Dancing Dogbone, the theater’s friendly mascot, who rumor has it may make an appearance.
The Buskirk-Chumley Theater is just a few years away from marking its 100th year in the community. Do you have old photos that show the theater, interior or exterior? We’d love to scan them and add them to our archives, crediting you as the owner. We can scan photos while you enjoy the party, or you can drop them off and we’ll arrange to return them to you later. We’re especially interested in photos that are more than 20 years old. Spread the word!
