The Women’s History Month Lunch is an opportunity to recognize individual and collective accomplishments of women in the community. The event includes exhibitors from local women-owned businesses and organizations as well as a presentation that embodies the mission of the commission. Two awards will be presented at the lunch: The Woman of the Year and Toby Strout Lifetime Contribution Awards.
Doors open at 11:15am. The program runs from noon to 1:30pm. Seating is not assigned unless you have purchased a reserved table. To purchase a reserved table (includes 8 seats) click here.
Pay it forward! The Commission maintains a fund to provide tickets to individuals who would not otherwise be able to attend. Your purchase of a pay-it-forward ticket goes into this fund, and tickets will be allocated by the Commission.
Prior to the day of the event, Will Call may be collected from the BCT Box Office, 114 E Kirkwood (open Mon – Fri 11am – 6pm, Sat & Sun noon – 5pm). On the day of the event Will-Call will open at the venue at 11:15am.

Since it was built in 1923 as a Model T assembly plant and showroom, the Monroe Convention Center has evolved into a space where the modern meets the historical. Centrally located in the heart of downtown Bloomington, the center employs a professional event planning staff and features a varied collection of works by local artists on permanent display. The center is fully accessible and parking is plentiful in adjacent lots.

The City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Women explores women’s issues and concerns, celebrates women’s accomplishments and promotes solutions to the problems and challenges faced by women. The Commission on the Status of Women usually meets the first Thursday of each month at Showers City Hall.
